| Hello, My name is Jerry Griffin, owner of Griffin Auto, Inc. We are located on Hwy 319 next to Purple Martin Nursery. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and let the citizens of Wakulla County get to know my family and me. I retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after 21 years of service. Some of you may remember 17 years ago when I was stationed in Tallahassee. I built a house in Wakulla and soon after that my first son Benjamin was born. Also, I opened “Griffin Auto Sales” where Purple Martin Nursery is now. I was in business just over 1 year when the Navy decided I needed to transfer to West Palm Beach, FL to enhance my career. My second son Samuel was born. To make a long story short, from West Palm I transferred to Seattle, Anchorage, New Orleans, and finally back to Tallahassee to retire. I always knew that I would return to Wakulla, buy a home, and raise my two boys in a great environment and school system. However, God had another plan. At 42 years old, Mikey, my third son was born. I have since determined that I needed medical attention to prevent this from happening again. Now, let me describe to you the strongest and greatest supporter of the Griffin Family. My wife Kathy! She and I were raised in South Georgia and she has put up with me for over 22 years. Never has she whined or moaned about any of our transfers, business decisions, or unexpected additions to our family. She is a great mother and wife! In other words she is the bomb! I hope you get a chance to meet her. My intent in this article was to give you enough information so that you will have confidence that I am not a fly by night used car dealer. We are a business that expects to be here supporting our community for many years to come. This company has many long and short-term goals. Our #1 goal is “Repeat Business”.
